Cecil County

Cecil County was named after Cecil Calvert, 2nd Baron Baltimore, the first Proprietary Governor of the Province of Maryland. Those in Cecil County can enjoy a large array of outdoor activities such as golfing, fishing, boating, and hiking. There are over 40 marinas from which to choose from as well as several golf courses. For those that prefer to hike, bike, or engage in Equestrian activities, Elk Neck State Park will suit your needs. In terms of education, there are 7 branches of the Cecil County Public Library from which to choose from, as well as for Cecil College, which has four campuses in Cecil County.
